About Convert Cups

Convert Cups started from a simple kitchen frustration: recipes from different countries measure ingredients differently, and a "cup" in one cookbook isn't the same volume as a "cup" in another. We built this site to remove that guesswork.

Every converter on this site accounts for the fact that cups measure volume while grams measure weight, so the right conversion depends on the ingredient itself — a cup of flour and a cup of honey don't weigh the same. We also support the different cup standards used around the world, including the US cup, the UK Imperial cup, and the 250 ml metric cup used across Canada, Australia, India and New Zealand.

All figures on this site are standard culinary approximations gathered from common baking references. They're intended for everyday cooking and baking; if you need laboratory-level precision, always weigh your ingredients on a kitchen scale.
